Brutus: Stem Cell Patient
This is 18-year-old Brutus, 2 weeks after fat-derived stem cell therapy. His rear legs were severely arthritic in both his hocks and knee joints. He also had severe degenerative arthritis in his neck, mid-thorax, and lower back. That was causing neurological deficits in both rear legs. He receives stem cell injections at every site that has been shaved in the video.
This video shows significant improvement with his walking, and it was taken about two weeks after his treatment. We have banked stem cells that we can use if he needs them again in the next 6 to 12 months
12/10/2024: Update on Brutus! 3 weeks post-op from adipose derived stem cell therapy. Barely walking to trotting across the driveway! Way to go Brutus!!
How Animal Stem Cell Therapy Works
University Animal Hospital PLLC offers professional animal stem cell therapy as an advanced option to support pet pain management and improve quality of life, especially for aging companions like Brutus. During the treatment, we collect stem cells, typically from a pet’s own fat tissue, which are then processed and reintroduced into areas affected by inflammation or degeneration. Stem cells have the unique ability to promote tissue repair, reduce inflammation, and support the body’s natural healing response. This makes them a valuable part of modern senior pet care.
Animal stem cell therapy is often used to address conditions such as arthritis, joint pain, and mobility issues that affect older pets. By targeting the underlying cause of discomfort rather than just the symptoms, this approach can help your pet move more comfortably and stay active longer. At University Animal Hospital PLLC, we carefully evaluate each pet to determine whether this therapy is a suitable option and incorporate it into a personalized care plan to address their specific needs.
If you are looking for effective and compassionate pet pain management solutions, animal stem cell therapy offers a promising path forward.
