The Importance of Animal Stem Cell Therapy

Animal stem cell therapy is an emerging option within vet medical care that can help pets recover from orthopedic injuries and degenerative joint disease. By using your pet’s own cells to support tissue repair and reduce inflammation, stem cell therapy may improve mobility, ease pain, and shorten recovery times compared to conventional approaches alone. It can be especially helpful for conditions like cruciate ligament tears, hip dysplasia, osteoarthritis, and tendon or ligament injuries, similar to the issues documented in Diamond’s case. Many patients show gradual progress over the weeks following treatment, with improvements in gait, activity level, and overall comfort.

Comprehensive veterinary care remains essential before, during, and after animal stem cell therapy. A thorough exam, appropriate imaging, and a carefully planned and executed treatment plan help determine whether your pet is a good candidate. Our team will work to combine stem cell therapy with the right modalities, such as PRP, pain management, rehabilitation, and chiropractic support when needed. If you’re considering stem cell therapy for your dog or have questions about the best path forward, contact University Animal Hospital PLLC to discuss your pet’s needs and plan your next steps.
