Clinic Policies

University Animal Hospital Policies (Effective January 1, 2021)

  • We now ask that if you need to reschedule or cancel your appointment, to please do so within 24 hours.

  • Appointments that are 15 minutes late or more will be treated as a walk-in appointment. If you are going to be 15 minutes late or more you may also opt to drop off your pet.

  • Bringing an additional pet to an appointment time that is only scheduled for one pet may be asked to reschedule for another date or may be seen that day as a drop-off or treated as a walk-in. This decision will be made at the doctor on call’s discretion.

  • If you have no-called, no-showed more than twice, we will require a non-refundable deposit when scheduling future appointments. Deposits are dependent on the type of visit.

With the higher demand for animal care, this also means we have had to work in various medical emergencies. When we work in these patients, unfortunately we may have to reschedule some appointments that are already on our schedule. We will now compensate clients with a 10% discount if their appointment time must be moved to accommodate these emergencies.

We have had such a large influx of new patients and are so excited to meet so many new people and pets! With this we have also been working to keep up with higher demand and we would like to be as transparent as possible with you. We hope that these new policies will improve everyone’s experience.

Whether you are new client or a seasoned client, our goal is to make everyone’s experience with us as pleasant as possible with a focus on giving our patients the highest quality of care.
